EQUINOX APARTMENTS

Equinox Apartments (aka Dusk Luxury Apartment Complex) was the first net-zero apartment complex in Arizona. Located along the Greenbelt in Scottsdale, AZ, the Solar PV installation was set amidst some of the most beautiful views along the Continental Golf Course. The project consisted of 41 dwelling units, and a common area, which required 42 separate electrical intrconnections for the Solar PV systems. The Solar PV modules were located on the roofs of the 3 buildings, as well as 7 parking structures on the site. The inverters were located on parking structure columns, as well as on the buildings co-located with the electrical service panels. The parking structures included supplemental LED site lighting provided by Lithonia Lighting. This project represented some of the best practices in energy efficient design to date.

This project was split into 42 separate interconnections, which required considerable site detail to assure all the correct size and number of conduits were located appropriately. Some of the arrays were on the roof, and some were on the parking structures, which added to the complexity.
